Service is at the heart of everything Mark Shaffer does on a daily basis, as he has earned renown for his focus on going the extra mile for both his clients and community. An expert in the San Diego market who has provided compassionate, hands-on assistance for buyers and sellers since 2003, Mark is quickly recognizable to locals for the work that he does with his registered therapy dog, Chopper.
A common thread for Mark has been a commitment to tailor his services to meet the needs of his clients, to help them achieve their goals. Having spent 12 years as a Personal Fitness Trainer before his entry into real estate, he has superior communication and networking skills, along with a talent for gently and effectively guiding his clients to the best decision to fit with their individual requirements and circumstances.
The emotional rewards that come from helping people achieve the American Dream of home ownership have been a motivator for Mark. With an emphasis on doing whatever it takes to provide his clients with a powerful, life-changing experience, he has assisted multiple generations of family members, earning a reputation for his credibility, work ethic and market knowledge along the way.
As a San Diego resident since 1977, Mark offers a nuanced insight into the many different communities and neighborhoods that comprise the area. He serves buyers and sellers throughout San Diego County, and his experience encompasses everything from starter homes, estates and rental properties, to vacation homes and luxury condominiums.
Mark has enjoyed the flexibility provided by real estate, in that it gives him a chance to make a positive impact on the lives of his clients, meet new people and serve the community. Together with his celebrity dog “Chopper the Biker Dog,” he has visited countless nursing homes, hospitals and senior living communities in San Diego, LA and Orange Counties. Volunteering for law enforcement, fire personnel and veterans events are particularly impactful for Mark, as he studied Criminal Justice, but he has found serving the Special Olympics, Red Cross and Salvation Army to be equally rewarding.
