Born in London, England to a father who purchased and sold investment properties all over the world, Portia began her real estate training at an early age. Having worked with her father helping him find, remodel and manage rental properties, she brings a keen understanding of renovation practices, techniques and building materials, along with an ability to supervise each aspect of the process with tact and professionalism.
With superior networking and research skills, Portia excels at finding off-market listings and developing a creative vision for updating properties. A resourceful problem solver with an extensive local network of colleagues in related industries, she enjoys leveraging her in-depth knowledge of architecture, interior design and the construction/permitting process to successfully translate a vision for a property into reality.
From living in France and Switzerland, as well as Florida, California, New York and Michigan, Portia has an ability to speak conversational French and communicate with people of differing cultural backgrounds. Responsive and thorough, she shares her firsthand experiences with relocating to help her clients achieve a successful transition into their new surroundings.
Specializing in starter homes, coastal estates, luxury condominiums, investment and vacation properties, Portia’s research and marketing skills allow her to find the right home for her buyers and deliver positive results for her sellers. Adaptable and well-traveled, her ability to effectively communicate large amounts of complex information is also informed by her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Drama.
A San Diego resident for the past six years, Portia likes finding new events and places to visit with her daughter in her downtime. She often volunteers for several animal rescue organizations around San Diego with her sister, who owns a dog grooming salon and boutique in Point Loma. Portia also enjoys hiking, traveling and skiing when she isn’t busy working.
